they are supposed to, but now there is nothing you can do , its your word against his, but you could spend some money on a couple thousand flyers and mail them around town talking about what happened and there company name in it. you could get a responce back from the company you hired . and or write the B.B.B.

And your point is???? You paid less than I charge and you still have to fix the problems. When you first looked at it ( how long ago) you saw small problems. Your inspector should have been asked when you and he went through the unit. I usually take about 2-4 hrs to do an inspection, and will only do it while the new owners are present. Not allowed to remove anything or open anything that may cause damage. Besides , It`s done,What do you expect us to tell you or do? Get on with your life.

If the home inspector didn't catch these obvious things you should call him back to show him what he missed and tell him to make it right. If he missed those little things you have to worry about what big things he might have missed. If he doesn't make any effort to make it right he should not be in business.

You need to talk to the home inspection company and tell them. Some things you should have noticed yourself but the pipe should have been noted in the report
